Commotion in the Ocean
a concert performance
of
Giles Andreae's children's poems
Commotion in the Ocean is Harmony's Music Club's concert interpretation of Giles Andreae's delightful collection of children's poems, Commotion in the Ocean.

In this concert, the audience is taken on a magical underwater musical journey to see who they can find hiding behind the rocks and in the wrecks under the ocean. Harmony's Music Club has designed the concert by imaginatively matching the animals' characteristics to pieces of short piano works, none more than 3 minutes long (always keeping the children's concentration spans in mind) so that the children are taken on a fun varied tour of piano music.
Following the same successful interactive format as Paddington Bear's 1st Concert, children make their instruments beforehand so that they can join in in the concert where guided and the children's artwork illustrates each poem taking the listener on a wonderful visual journey too to match the music.

Another popular concert from Harmony's Music Club, this concert has also been enjoyed almost 2,000 times. Originally conceived as a fundraising project with Plastic Oceans UK (now Oceans Generation), the concert has a plastic pollution theme running through it making it suitable for World Earth Day and children can enjoy using their recycling to make their instruments while learning about plastic in the ocean.
